The Uffizi was built in 1560 at the request of Cosimo I de' Medici and it had been the center for the most important magistristriesFlorentine over much of this time until it became an outstanding art gallery recognized today only in 1769. Your personal guide will effortlessly lead you through the glowing halls of this exceptional museum on a journey to discover the leading painters of Italian artistic tradition from the Middle Ages to Late Renaissance. Among unmatchable masters whose priceless works you will be honored to see includes Giotto, Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci. It is here that such timeless works as those by Bottecelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and “Primavera”, Michelangelo’s “Tondo Doni”, and da Vinci’s “Annunciation” will be seen.
