We will see the Duomo Square, where we have the great Florence Cathedral — in local terms, Il Duomo — also famous for its pretty dome. Building this wonderful feat of engineering required an often new way of doing things which your guide will explain to you as you admire it from outside. There is free entry to the Duomo so you can go inside if you wish — besides that, there has been a full overview of internal and external features from the guide.

Conclude your guided tour with a skip-the-line entry to the Accademia Gallery, which houses Michelangelo’s 'David.' Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide fluent in English and benefiting from Skip-the-Line Access at the Accademia, you will have the opportunity to observe the sculptures as they emerge from the stone and gain insights into Michelangelo’s sculpting technique—an art form he regarded as superior to painting.
