David and the highlights of Florence.

Overview

For those who have only seen photos of David and want to experience the city in a knowledgeable way, this tour is perfect! Don’t worry; it won’t be an art lecture; you will learn and rejoice! While at the Accademia, standing before David, I’ll tell the fascinating story of the statue; the secrets it holds and its history if its renowned creator – the great Michelangelo Buonarroti.

You will come to appreciate the unfinished “slaves” during your visit to the sculptures in the Hall of Prisoners.

This walking tour has been specifically designed for first time travelers.

We begin with Piazza Duomo whereby an overview of how Florence came into being into a power center is given.

As we walk down the medieval streets of Florence there would be amazing exposure.

And we’ll walk through those very same streets that the Medicis, Michelangelo, Donatello, Machiavelli, and Dante himself, among others, once trod.

How’s that for an experience to savor? into the lovely narrow Florentine alleys and old tower-houses and enjoy the open air museum that this city is.

We will walk_through the same streets through which the Medici family passed as well as Michelangelo Donatello Machiavelli and Dante to name a few others.

What an experience to savor!
